“I am extremely happy that this event is taking place in the first week of my mandate. I hope it will become a symbol of a new beginning for Varna,” Kotsev said in his greeting to the delegates at the forum.
The new mayor of Varna emphasized that, in addition to being a tourist and seaside city, Varna has a huge potential to be an attractive center for investments and innovations. In his words, the city can stand out as the economic heart of Northern Bulgaria.
Kotsev pointed out that he is working towards good cooperation between business and the municipality in order to improve the conditions for the development of the innovative sector in Bulgaria. According to him, the exchange of experience and ideas during the forum will contribute to the prosperity of the city.
Innowave Summit was opened by the founder of the annual event, Dimitar Vassilev, and Maria Gabriel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, made a video address.
During the technology conference, various discussion panels are organized on the topics of innovation, leadership, digitalization, artificial intelligence and others. 75 speakers and 120 exhibitors from 28 countries are participating.
