Varna region in fifth place in the country in residential buildings put into operation –

According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute, the number of residential buildings put into operation in the Varna region in the third quarter of 2023 is 129, and the number of newly built dwellings in them is 567.
Compared to the third quarter of 2022, there were 7 fewer buildings, or 5.1%, and dwellings in them decreased by 924, or 62.0%.
Of the newly constructed residential buildings put into operation in the third quarter of 2023, 82.2% were of reinforced concrete construction, 15.5% of brick construction, and 2.3% of other construction.
Varna region is in fifth place in the country in terms of residential buildings put into operation.
Before it are the regions of Sofia (capital) – 182 buildings with 1,413 dwellings, Plovdiv – 174 buildings with 548 dwellings, Burgas – 136 buildings with 1,073 dwellings and Sofia – 136 buildings with 189 dwellings.
The share of newly built homes with two rooms is the highest (41.6%), followed by those with three rooms (27.3%), and the share of homes with six or more rooms is the lowest – 3.0%
The total usable area of ​​newly built homes in the third quarter of 2023 in the Varna region was 41.0 thousand square meters, or 62.0% less compared to the same quarter of 2022, and the residential area decreased by 63.4% and reached 30.2 thousand square meters.
At the same time, the average usable area of ​​a newly built home in Varna region remains unchanged in the third quarter of 2023 compared to the same quarter of 2022 – 72.3 square meters.
Varna is third among the regions with the smallest average useful area of ​​a newly built dwelling. First is Burgas region – 61.7 square meters, followed by Shumen region – 63.7 square meters. The largest average useful area of ​​a newly built dwelling was registered in the districts of Vidin – 400.0 sq. m and Silistra – 278.4 sq. m
