A social day of the skills and abilities of people with intellectual disabilities is organized by the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo

Directorate “Social Activities and Health Care” in the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo organized on November 17 (Friday) a Social Day of Skills and Abilities of People with Intellectual Disabilities

One of the events in the program is a stage performance “Life is a social circus” from 10:30 a.m. in the Great Hall of the Municipality of Veliko Tarnovo, organized in partnership with the “Mini Art Fest” Foundation – Sofia, and with the special participation of Galina Riom-Roibek – author of the program and main circus trainer. Participants in the performance will be users of four social services in the municipality – Complex of social services for children “Magic”, Day center for children and youth with disabilities “Rainbow”, Day center for adults with disabilities, Center for social rehabilitation and integration for persons with mental disorders and persons with intellectual disabilities. Entrance is free.

From 2 p.m., an open day at the social service “Center for Social Rehabilitation and Integration for Persons with Mental Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities” will be held in Tserova Koria.

The newly built material base and a short program presenting the skills of the users will be presented.

Official guests of the events on the Social Day of Skills and Abilities of People with Intellectual Disabilities will be Sara Gru Andersen – Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark, Elka Nalbantova – Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy, Tsvetan Spasov – Chief Director of Glavna directorate “European Funds, International Programs and Projects” and head of the Managing Authority of the “Human Resources Development” program at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, and others.
