Yambol defeated Levski in 3 quarters in the Triaditsa Hall

IN the capital’s “Triaditsa” hall, the Yambol team achieved success over Levski with 93:82 (26:22, 18:25, 18:12, 31:23), after playing a better second half.
The meeting began with a minute’s silence in memory of Stefka Velikova, who died in a car accident – mother of the captain of the hosts Asen Velikov.
The guests started better and made a series of 22:9, but the “blues” managed to reduce their deficit to 22:26 after the first ten minutes. The second part was equal, but Levski had a slight advantage in the score at the break – 47:44.
In the third quarter, none of the two teams managed to gain a more convincing lead and everything was decided in the last part, in which the players from Yambol led 89:80 67 seconds before the siren, and at the end Isaac Bonton scored a three-pointer for 93:82.
Peter Keys scored 21 points and grabbed 5 rebounds for the visitors, Isaac Bonton added 18 points and 7 assists, Taylor Curry 17 points and 9 rebounds, and Nikolay Mihailov finished with 13 points.
Mario Boyanov with 16 points and John Florvius with 13 points and 8 rebounds excelled for the “blues”.
Black Sea Ticha (Varna) broke its six-game losing streak since the start of the men’s National Basketball League season. The team won as a guest of Shumen with 91:82 (10:20, 32:9, 25:27, 24:26) in a meeting of the seventh round.
Curtis Jones was most valuable for Black Sea Ticha with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Tach Unruh added 23 points, Averill Ugba had 17 points and 20 rebounds and Kostadin Lazarov scored 10 points.
For Shumen, David Rollins scored 26 points and Brian Cameron finished with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.
