Caritas Rousse will mark Caritas Day on Sunday, November 19, with a charity bazaar to support people in need. The bazaar will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in front of the Central City Hall, in case of rain the citizens of Ruse will be able to support the bazaar at the Caritas Humanitarian Center at 3 Bogdan Voivoda Street (behind Father Paisiy School “). Within the framework of the bazaar, handmade decorations, drawings and products from children with special needs, children from at-risk families and homeless persons will be available for purchase. The goal is to raise funds to purchase durable food products that will be distributed to poor and vulnerable people that Caritas helps.
Caritas Day is an annual initiative of all Caritas employees in Bulgaria, which aims to popularize the organization’s activities aimed at the poor and those experiencing suffering. It is linked to the World Day of the Poor announced by Pope Francis and shares his message: “Don’t turn your face away from any poor person” (Tob. 4, 7).
During the organized events, the attendees will have the opportunity to talk about poverty, about “Caritas” and about the ways in which all together as a society we can contribute to building a better world in which all people can live with dignity.
