Alerts of bad weather, fallen trees and power outages as a result of the strong wind in the territory of Burgas region. Five-meter waves washed away the coastline, flooded restaurants and sank boats.
The district administration will demand the termination of the contract with the current cleaning company of the municipality, after cars got stuck on untreated roads in the district. At the moment, there are no reports of injured or distressed people.

“Out of nearly 60 settlements that were without electricity yesterday, there are currently less than 10. We have no reports of people in distress and those in need. There are also no impassable road sections”, said Plamen Yanev, regional governor of Burgas.
According to him, already on November 2, when the regional headquarters was convened, the Regional Road Administration and the Traffic Police reported that there was a problem with the snow removal company – it did not provide the necessary data on machines.
“This blocks the field-wide check because we need to have a list to check for duplicates. To this day, despite my order, this has not been carried out”, Yanev said and added that the company was not opened on Sunday morning. But later a manager of the company contacted him and explained that he wanted to present the company’s point of view.
In the company’s position, it is claimed that throughout the night all its machines worked without stopping. “I have invited them to a meeting with the Regional Road Administration and the Ministry of the Interior to clarify. But it is a fact that they do not fulfill their obligations on time. It is precisely for such reasons that the citizens are dissatisfied and say that winter surprised us”, pointed out Yanev.
