At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, cadets from the three faculties – “Security and Defense”, “Logistics and Technologies” and “Artillery, Air Defense and CIS” visited the Presidency in Sofia
The group was led by the head of Vasil Levski National University Brigadier General Ivan Malamov.
Rumen Radev congratulated the cadets for their decision to dedicate themselves to the military profession, which, according to him, is a difficult but also a noble cause in the name of family and homeland. During the meeting, the cadets had the opportunity to ask their questions about personnel training and the modernization of the Bulgarian Army.
The President expressed his confidence that the young officers will be a key part of the modernization of the Bulgarian Army, and added that reaching the necessary level of interoperability with our NATO partners must go hand in hand with the care of personnel and their motivation. “Create a stereotype that what is taught is not enough for you. Seek additional knowledge yourself. Each of you will become a commander. It is important how you lead people – with commands or by personal example. You have a great opportunity to achieve all this where you are,” the head of state addressed the cadets from the Vasil Levski National Military University.
