I see some scenarios unfolding. Only after he was asked to resign did the minister (Kalin Stoyanov) start talking about a pogrom, and thanks to his efforts, apparently also his, this pogrom was prevented. It is obvious that when you are in such a situation at the cinema, it means that you have no idea about the responsibility that you bear as a minister. This was announced by the former interior minister in the caretaker government, Ivan Demerdzhiev, on Nova News. He commented on whether there was police violence at the football fans’ protest on Thursday, and the scandal between Kiril Petkov and Kalin Stoyanov this morning.
“PP-DB with their actions allowed someone else to make their own elections, whether it is GERB or DPS, let those who created the government say,” added Demerdzhiev.
“Kalin Stoyanov must resign and bear the political responsibility for what has been happening for five months, but the bigger issue is that they had a pilot in this government. We saw with what passion Peevski and Borisov defended the interior minister and transferred the problem to the minister of sports Stoyanov underestimated the situation,” the former interior minister also said. “If he had done his job well, he wouldn’t be at the cinema,” continued Demerdzhiev.
As for the film, he explained that it was actually the start of “Kinomania”. (It’s about the movie “The Lessons of Goodness”). “For this minister, being at the cinema is more important than being in the Council of Ministers, being in the field with the people, he obviously has other goals,” his predecessor believes.
“Obviously, Denkov doesn’t have the authority, he doesn’t have the strength to influence. We saw it with the minister of e-governance, we saw it with the minister of the interior, how many more ministers will enlighten themselves”, asked Demerdzhiev. According to him, “we will witness more similar scandals”. He is of the opinion that Denkov would not have resigned.
“Unfortunately, the footage brought us back to the 2020s,” Demerdzhiev believes. According to him, the shoes of an interior minister were not for Kalin Stoyanov. “I stopped talking to him when he told me one thing and did another. I have nothing to talk to a person who is not consistent and cannot make decisions,” concluded Demerjev.
