Today, November 21, we celebrate Christian Family Day. The Orthodox Church calls it the Introduction of the Virgin. The day is a symbol of the initiation of the young person into the faith. In this regard, in Seen a public discussion on the method is being organized today “World Cafe”. The organizers are the People’s Community Center “Color 1870” and the Holy Metropolis of Vidin. Students, representatives of municipal and state organizations, citizens will take part in the discussion, he says Joanna Goranovareligion teacher:
“This discussion is called “World Cafe” and it is interesting. There are several tables, each one is given a question and there are several groups of students and citizens of Vidin. Each team answers the given question. The good thing about this method of discussion is , that it is going out of bounds, will be able to express their opinions. Finally, we will make a summary and see where the young people are at the moment, what is the value system.”
What is the role of the Christian family today in Bulgarian society and for young people, explains Yoanna Goranova:
“The Bulgarian people have mainly relied on Christian values… Christianity gives us strength, confidence and the desire to build… I can call on parents to open their children to Christian values and this education is important. Every Sunday I have a meeting with the children in the Sunday school that I lead and anyone can command and see…Kwhen children have contact with Christianity, they can see things through a different worldview, feel the virtues and Christian values.”
The discussion will be held at the People’s Community Center “Tsvyat 1870” in Vidin at 3:00 p.m. in the hall of the community center, 2nd floor.
