On November 21, the Bulgarian Orthodox Church celebrates the Introduction of the Virgin – the day when the three-year-old Mary was introduced into a Christian temple. Theologian Angel Karadakov:

Since 1929, Introduction Bogorodichno has been honored by Bulgarians as the Day of the Christian family and of the Orthodox Christian learning youth.
Today it is traditional to go to church as a family. Children receive communion.
“This holiday is important because it carries the message of honoring our parents, respecting our relatives and raising our children in the faith. Only in this way can we help our society become better – when we have good spiritual foundations”.
