The little artists of studio “Reni art” – Montana received honorary distinctions from Japan. Fourth-graders Ivayla Dimitrova and Nikol Yordanova were awarded the “Kanagawa Prize”. This is a certificate of distinction from the World Children’s Drawing Art Exhibition in Kanagawa, Japan.
In this competition, the prizes are awarded by the director of a modern art gallery in Tokyo. The competition spans all continents and is one of the most prestigious in the world, says the studio’s art teacher proudly Tanya Vasileva:
“The competition is a world biennale of children’s drawing. We are participating for another year, this is the first time we have been awarded… We sent a lot of drawings related to Bulgarian folklore and our homeland… Ivaila’s drawing is her first portrait drawing. The drawing of Nikol is a mixed technique, a collage on dark cardboard, of a turkey… The turkey is a typical bird for the Bulgarian village, I raise children to love their homeland… I am glad that we have reached this point and I wish them more prestigious awards… Currently, their works are participating in an exhibition that is traveling…”
The artists from the “Reni Art” studio are preparing for future competitions and for the traditional charity Christmas bazaar, in which other artists from Montana will participate.
