33 municipal councilors signed the resignation of the regional governor of Burgas, only SEC and “Vazrazhdane” are missing

So far, 33 municipal councilors from different political parties – BSP, ITN, KOD, We continue the change, Bulgarian Rise, GERB, have signed the petition demanding the resignation of the regional governor of Burgas Plamen Yanev. We remind you that it was initiated by the honorary chairman of the SEC, who is the representative of KOD in the local parliament – Georgi Manev, the next day after the new municipal councilors were sworn in. The occasion was Plamen Yanev’s speech at the solemn session of the local parliament.

“Only SEC did not sign up, and it is very surprising that none of “Vazrazhdane” signed up. We have witnessed how a few days ago “Vazrazhdane” demanded the resignation of the government, and it is very interesting why they do not sign when I want the resignation of a government official appointed in Burgas as a regional governor”, Manev commented.

The signature is addressed to the President of the National Assembly, to the Prime Minister, to the Deputy. the Prime Minister.

“This is an unprecedented political statement that has everyone outraged. I expect him to be fired or he will resign. But both work,” Manev said today.

Here is that part of Yanev’s speech, delivered at the first meeting of the local parliament, which prompted Manev to initiate the signature.

” Dear ladies and gentlemen, city councillors, unfortunately you are receiving a heavy inheritance. In 2007, more than 96,000 citizens of Burgas found it meaningful to go and elect the municipal councilors who will govern in the next 4 years.

Four terms later, 40% less made such an effort. Indifference, ladies and gentlemen, to bodies that should be elected by the people is greater than … This means that the citizens of the municipality do not find any meaning, and rather – less and less citizens of the municipality find meaning and they see the importance of the composition of the Municipal Council.”
