He was brought to court also for the fact that on 06.08.2022 in the village of Rogosh, region Plovdiv, was in possession of a firearm – a single-barreled, smooth-bore rifle and 24 cartridges of 12 caliber, without having a proper permit for this – a crime under Art. 339 par. 1 of the Criminal Code.
N.H. and the victims were relatives and lived in a yard in which there were buildings. They argued about their property. The conflict between the relatives escalated on August 6, 2022. N.H. sent an insulting remark to E.M. Hours later, his relatives went to Nikolay Hristov’s house and started breaking the exterior glazing.
At that moment, Nikolay Hristov took out the illegal rifle he was holding and opened fire on them. E.M., S.M. and V.M. received severe injuries resulting in their death. S.H. was injured in the accident, and she was admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Nikolay Hristov has been remanded in custody. The Plovdiv District Court is about to schedule a hearing on the case.
