A book launch, socially engaged arts for youth, a children’s interactive performance are to be seen by the end of November
In the space of the Youth Center – Pazardzhik, until the end of November, we are implementing several partner events. Driven by the desire to show cultural content from various fields, as well as cultural products with current youth themes, we offer the following events to the local community:
November 24, 6:00 p.m. With the Scribens publishing house, we invite you to the presentation of the debut book “Heraldry of Feelings” by Alexander Alexiev. With the participation of Georgi Spasov and Iliya Mihailov – teachers and Dimitar Stoimenov (“Voice and Fingers”). Alexander Alexiev is a graduate of the Language High School, professionally engaged in tourism, chairman of the Bulgarian Heraldic Vexillology Society, member of the Board of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds, football fan and music lover.
November 24, 7:00 p.m. “Applies to All” – screening of a play based on the play by Dana Sideros with interwoven personal stories. The production is by the Association for Art and Youth Initiatives “The Studio”, and the themes raised by the show, in which the young people from “The Studio” play, are about the acceptance of the different, the teacher-student relationship, communication and its emotional manifestations.
November 26, 11:00 a.m. Cralje – Portalje. Dragons, tentacles, samodivas and heroes are a small part of the magical world of Bulgarian folklore. Games like “White Butterflies” and “King Portal” have long been stuck in a time without smart devices. However, the beauty of folk songs, traditions and customs is undeniable and attracts young and old all over the world.
The performance, named after the folk game of the same name, “King Portalyo”, is an interactive experience for children over 6 years old, in which young viewers learn various folk myths, songs, games, riddles. Immerse yourself in the world of folk art with the voice of Nina Nikolina and the actors Georgi-Manoel Dimitrov and Dimitra Popovaki and customs.
November 28, 12:30 p.m. “Eye of an artist, soul of a poet” is an interactive performance by the Tsvete Theatre, based on four short stories by Elin Pelin – “After Harvest”, “Suffocation”, “Mowers” and “On the other side”. Between the stories, the actors enter into a dialogue with the audience to help them realize the author’s messages and the means by which he achieves them. The performance will be performed in front of students from “Ivan Batakliev” elementary school.
At the beginning of December, the annual Music Academy competition “Note by Note” will also be held. And by the end of the year, we will offer more interesting initiatives related to education in various fields of art for children and youth.
