
The Community Support Center (TSO) in Lovech organized a charity campaign to help a woman and her four grandchildren, whose house in the village of Slatina in Lovech burned down in a fire yesterday morning. This was announced by Vesela Tsankova, the chairwoman of the “Civil Initiatives” association, which manages the Center for Social Development.
According to her, even in the first hours for the woman and the children, of which at least a year, food, medicine, clothes and shoes of basic necessity are provided. With their house completely burned down, their needs are great. “That’s why with the campaign we titled “Help for children in need”, we turned to the public. We received in a matter of hours serious support from the people who helped with clothes, food, medicine. We saw a great wave of empathy,” said Tsankova.
The family is accommodated in a relative’s homewhich, however, needs repair and furnishing.

“Flooring is likely to be installed in this house in the coming days as it is under rough construction. In the dwelling, it is necessary to provide household utensils, furniture that are preserved, although not new. Also, the need for food, medicine, winter clothes for the children, school supplies does not disappear. We will periodically provide information on the identified needs,” Vesela Tsankova added.
She also said that she was rendered and psychological support of the woman.
A municipal commission will assess whether the family needs temporary accommodation in municipal housing in order for it to be provided.
