Problems related to repairs of sports facilities, stadium maintenance and investments were discussed at a meeting between representatives of sports clubs in Kyustendil and the new mayor of the city Ognyan Atanasov.
Atanasov assured the attendees that the municipality of Kyustendil will continue the tradition of covering all costs for the Osogovo stadium and the commitment not to collect rent from the clubs.
At the suggestion of the sports clubs, a commission will be made to inspect the halls and find out the problems after the renovation of the stadium. Experts from the “Capital Construction” department of the municipality and representatives of sports clubs will be included in the commission.
“The repair is still under warranty, so the people who worked on the site will have the opportunity to complete their work,” said Atanasov and indicated that everything possible will be done to ensure that the mineral water reaches the stadium.
The priority of sports figures is the financing of a new athletics track, which will be used not only by active sportsmen, but also by the entire city.
