The Burgas tax authorities participated in the Information Day of the National Revenue Agency

NRA Burgas participated in the National Information Day of the revenue agency. In various cities of the country, tax lecturers met with students to present the Agency’s activities. The idea and purpose of the tax is for young people to gain basic knowledge of the tax and insurance system in the country, to increase their tax culture and financial literacy in the direction of making informed financial decisions and civic activity in the event of non-compliance with tax and insurance legislation. During the lessons, high school students received practical and useful information about the electronic services provided by the National Revenue Agency, how to distinguish a real receipt from a fake receipt, why it is necessary to always request a receipt. The examples of the practice of the employees of the National Revenue Agency were also interesting for the young people, as well as the measures taken by the Agency to combat the gray economy.

The spokesman of the NRA Burgas Hristo Uzunov was a guest speaker at the Burgas Commercial High School. In front of 11th grade students, he presented the main activities, mission and vision of the National Revenue Agency, the country’s tax system, as well as the Agency’s efforts to facilitate citizens and companies in the performance of their administrative duties in the context of the already provided more than 170 electronic services . Future economists learned the differences between a civil and an employment contract, as well as useful tips on how to protect their rights when entering into an employment relationship. “Our goal is voluntary declaration and payment of taxes and insurance. Our basis is the partnership approach to citizens and businesses, but also intolerance towards anyone who deliberately circumvents the laws and rules in order to evade taxes”, stressed the spokesperson of the NRA Burgas to the students.
