We remind you that the Management Board of “Bulgarian Water and Wastewater Holding” EAD announced the surprising change of the management of the Waterworks – Plovdiv late last night. The decision was made last Friday. The reason cited by the holding’s management board is the unsatisfactory financial management in the last two years, which led to the uncovered loss of the company as of 09/30/2023 in the amount of over BGN 16 million.
At the beginning of 2023, Ognyan Kulishev, the then temporary manager of the Waterworks – Plovdiv, won the competition for the post. The procedure was announced by the Bulgarian Waterworks Holding in November last year. Three candidates were admitted to defend the Enterprise Development Concept for a 3-year management period. Kulishev was ranked first and was entrusted with the management of the water company.
