Administrative Court – Montana did not proceed with the case today on “Revival” against the results for the election of municipal councilors in Montana. The court confirmed the election of Zlatko Zhivkov as mayor of the municipality of Montana.

The reason for the postponement is that witnesses in the case were not regularly summoned.

“Vazrazhdane” contests the election for municipal councilors in Montana, because of violations, crimes and fraud in some of the sections”, explained the lawyer Peter PetrovMember of Parliament from Montana:

“The rigging, crimes and election violations were covered all over the national media. That is why we have focused on these four sections and we hope that the court will allow a recount of the ballots, as it allowed for the mayoral election.”

According to the complainants, it is about 2,000 votes in two sections in the “Kosharnik” district in Montana, and the villages of Gabrovnica and Stubel. On November 27, there will be a new summoning of witnesses in the case.

The administrative court did not accept the appeal of Petar Petrov, in his capacity as a candidate for mayor of the municipality of Montana, against the decision of the municipal election commission in Montana, for the election of the mayor of Montana, in the local elections held on October 29.
