We also support the creation of an international tribunal to investigate crimes against humanity and war crimes in Ukraine, as well as the International Center for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression,” commented Slavov. He noted that Bulgaria is one of the countries that joined the register of damage from Russia’s war in Ukraine, initiated by the Council of Europe.

The Minister of Justice also said that there are currently a large number of Ukrainians living in our country who are fleeing the war and the Russian occupation. He also stated that the Bulgarian prosecutor’s office can initiate a criminal investigation and to join forces with European magistrates to gather evidence to be used in future international cases.
