The Bulgarian national mini football team has started preparations for the European Championship in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

It will be held in Sarajevo from June 1 to 9. Bulgaria enters the football scene as the current bronze medalist from the championship in Slovakia two years ago. This is also the reason why our country left for Bosnia and Herzegovina already with the reputation of a European and even world power, reports Nova TV.

The draw put us in Group E, where we will compete against Serbia, Georgia and Portugal. There are no shortage of surprises around the national team either. He has worn the teams of a number of European giants such as Juventus, and now he will be the ambassador of the national mini football team. This is Valery Bozhinov. The team is convinced that his experience can be invaluable.

“I can help them motivationally. To talk to them both collectively and individually. But the role of the coaches is very important,” says Bozhinov. The tactics will be determined by coach Nikolay Mihov. “If we don’t dream, then what are we going for, we have to defend what we have achieved,” said Mihailov.

And Bulgaria has achieved a lot. And at the European in Kosice, when he reached the bronze, and at the world, when he ranked among the strongest 8 on the planet.

“There is one very nice feature that our coaches are looking for in the boys – purely human qualities, since, you know, we are amateurs, not professionals,” shared the administrative director of the national mini football team, Svetlozar Tabakov.

They are people with different professions. But when Bulgaria calls them, they defend the colors of the tricolor. “Each one of us takes a vacation. Many of us have to leave unpaid,” Tabakov also shares.

Not to chase medals and glory, but to make more young Bulgarians discover their love for sports. “We have to make the children practice mini football”, said Bozhinov and added that this sport gives football players orientation and the ability to make more correct decisions.
