Busarov: End of falsification of documents!

The regional election commission in Blagoevgrad held its first meeting in connection with the holding of the upcoming “two in one” elections in June.

The committee is housed in the District Administration building and will meet every Tuesday and Thursday at 6 pm in the meeting room. Her office will be on the third floor. The duty will be held there and documents will be accepted from the candidates.

One of the first activities of the Commission was the mutilation of seals.

“They are three in number and this injury to the front part of the seals, which the RIC will work with, is done in order to prevent falsification of documents. This mainly applies to the certificates of the members of the sectional election commissions and the certificates of advocates. Over the years, it has happened that people identify themselves with certificates issued not by the OIC or the RIC, but by the party offices,” commented the chairman of the RIC-Blagoevgrad, Martin Busarov.

If it is necessary to compare a sample of a seal, it will already be clear whether the original seals of the RIC were used, explained Busarov and added that this procedure is legally regulated and the CEC has obliged the regional commissions in places to carry it out at their first meeting.

“We have already provided an opportunity, if someone wishes to be an independent candidate for deputy in our National Assembly, to create their own Initiative Committee and register it in the RIC. As of Monday, we have already provided staff on duty according to a preliminary schedule to process the documents,” the RIC chairman pointed out.

The 17-member regional election commission. 40% of its members will participate in organizing an election process for the first time.

“We are worried about the two-in-one elections, categorically, because apart from the extended logistics, we will have the registration of candidate lists, lists of advocates, SEC members and two ballots in the ballot boxes. We have to be doubly careful when processing these papers,” Busarov said.

He invited the residents of the 14 municipalities to seek the members of the RIC for any questions – on the announced telephone numbers, e-mail or on the spot.

“The goal is to be as useful and objective as possible,” emphasized Martin Busarov./Infomreja
