Kyustendil hosts the IKAR creative challenge

Kyustendil is a student household competition for non-standard aircraftreported on “Focus” from the United Children’s Complex – Kyustendil. Organizers of the IKAR creative challenge are the United Children’s Complex, the Bulgarian Federation of Aeromodelling, the Aerospace Technology Club “ZODIAC” – Kyustendil and the Municipality of Kyustendil, with the support of the “EURIKA” Foundation. The competition itself was held at the “Osogovo” stadium.

Among the guests of the event were the mayor of Kyustendil Municipality, engineer Ognyan Atanasov, Kristiyan Ivanchov – deputy. -mayor “Culture, tourism, social, youth activities and sports”, Grigor Tsankov – program director of the “Eureka” Foundation.

The competition was opened by the girls from the hip-hop formation “Fire Dance” from the Primary School “St. Paisii Hilendarski” with manager Reni Tsvetkova.

“Aeromodellers from the clubs from Sevlievo and Kyustendil took part in the competition. Each of the participants presented their own aircraft and demonstrated its qualities. The jury evaluated the models according to the regulations of the competition. The criteria by which the aircraft were evaluated were: innovation, constructive solutions, attractiveness, design and appearance, flying qualities, piloting skills and opportunities for future practical application,” the organizers of the event said.
