“Botev” Vratsa and the parliament finished 4:4

8 goals were scored in the control played on Saturday in Vratsa by Botev’s veterans and people’s representatives from the parliament. The match was part of an in-form tour for the MPs. The final score 4:4 explains the intrigue on the field, which remained alive until the last minute.

The president of the home team Vangel Vangelov opened the scoring from a penalty, but Emil Evtimov and Daniel Alexandrov turned the score to 1:2. Georgi Yanev scored the second goal for Botev, but Alexandrov, with his second goal in the match, again put the parliamentarians ahead for 2:3. Vraca MP Martin Harizanov, who played one half for both teams, scored for 3:3. In the closing minutes of the meeting, the two teams exchanged another goal. Yulian Dimitrov scored for 4:3, but Emil Evtimov fixed the final score with a late goal for a fair draw on the pitch.

The selector of the parliamentary team, the export minister Krasen Kralev, praised the hosts for the invitation and the organization of the meeting:

“We’ve been building this team for a while. A few months ago we were in Shumen, today we are in Vratsa… Today you saw 7 people’s representatives on the field. Our captain is Jeyhan Ibryamov from DPS, on the field is his fellow party member Mario Rangelov. Prof. Andrey Chorbanov from ITN, Martin Harizanov, Ilter Beizatov and Valeri Lachovski from GERB-SDS are also participating. Our team includes the director of the Sports School in Sofia “Gen. Vladimir Stoychev” – Boris Borisov. Unfortunately, our playmaker – Krasimir Valchev, is injured, but I hope the boys on the field can do without him. We also have two injured MPs from the PP-DB…”

Before the match, the coach of the home team – the legendary former player of Botev and famous coach of the team from the recent past, Petar Kamenov, determined that the goal of his boys is only one – the victory:

“I was elected coach after a vote. I’m a facade coach. For the first time in my career… I didn’t set tactics for them, I told them that our goal was only one – to beat. And they promised to fulfill it“said the mentor, who turned 83 a few days ago.
