In the case of a non-working validator or a blocked machine, controllers have the opportunity to sell tickets in public transport. This option is being considered by the Municipality, Deputy Mayor for Finance Hristo Rafailov told Radio Varna. “However, I am not convinced to what extent this can happen,” he pointed out.

Since June, the system for selling cards and tickets has not been maintained, and now with the increase in the flow of tourists and outsiders in Varna due to the summer season, the problem will deepen, he pointed out. “It’s just that the company must have the will to do its job… Up until now, this issue has stood with the same force, but now the problem is being raised… The law on public procurement limits the actions of the mayor’s administration extremely much. We have a signed contract and we cannot to allow ourselves nothing outside the norms.
