HUNDREDS OF BENEFICIARIES SUPPORTED THE SPRING CAMPAIGN OF THE “CAPS FOR THE FUTURE” ACTION IN VELIKO TARNOVO

Although this time the assembly point was in a new location, the initiative passed with great interest.

Between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., 3,980 kg of plastic caps, 120 kg of aluminum jugs and 80 kg of plastic bottles were collected. All items provided will be recycled, and the funds received will support the purchase of medical equipment for children’s and neonatology departments in the country.

Apart from Veliko Tarnovo, people and institutions also participated in the campaign from other settlements in the region, which significantly contributed to the overall result of the campaign, the organizers explained.

The greatest activity was from young families with small children.

All donors received a certificate for the items donated to the cause.

“All of you, with your actions and good intentions, contributed to the fulfillment of good,” added the initiators of the action, and reminded that the transportation of the caps, jugs and bottles was also carried out on a voluntary basis.

To date, 7 ambulances have been purchased with the funds of the “Caps for the Future” initiative, of which two are off-road ambulances for mountainous areas.

Last fall, 8.5 tons of caps, 220 kilograms of jugs and 40 kilograms of plastic bottles were collected in the old capital.
