Defending champion Byala beat visiting Svilengrad 37:24 (20:6) and finished with a perfect balance of six wins in six matches in the main phase of the Bulgarian women’s handball championship.

The matches of the last round were irrelevant for the final standings, but the female champions did not give their rivals much of a chance, largely deciding the match already in the first half, going into the break with a 20:6 lead.

Byala will have home advantage in the Superfinal against national cup winner Ether 64. The title streak is up to two wins from three games.

Velikotarnovki finished the main phase with a home defeat by Slivnitsa. The coach of the “Violets” Atanas Atanasov gave some younger players the opportunity to perform, and this had an impact.

Eter squandered a 17:13 lead and at the end of the half conceded an equalizer. After the break, Slivnica made a comeback and took the lead at 22:20 and held it until the 47th minute when Eter made it 28:28. Six consecutive hits followed for the visitors, with which they secured the final victory.

Ivet Kostadinova scored 10 goals for the team’s first success in the main phase of the championship, and Danislava Petrova distinguished herself with 12 goals for Eter.
