In Pazardzhik, an action is being held against improper parking of cars, including those out of use and left in public places.

The aim is to free up the sidewalks, green areas and terrains around the stops and intersections.

The initiative is of the mayor Petar Guninski and the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior. Municipal employees participate in the action. Eight pedestrian teams have been formed that will patrol the pedestrian zone and inter-block spaces to identify cars that have gone out of service:

“Cars that have not passed an annual technical inspection for more than three months are to be given a prescription, according to which if they do not move it to private property within 14 days, the municipality of Pazardzhik will repatriate the car to a parking lot, which is for storage and disassembly of these cars,” said Nikolay Nikolov, manager of “Parking lots and garages” at the municipality.

Massive checks are planned in the outer districts of the city.
