The children’s folklore group at SU Yordan Yovkov and the “Golden beekeepers” returned with medals from the festival in Sladun.
For the first time The children’s folklore group at SU Yordan Yovkov – Kardzhali led by Ginka Mateva and the folk group “Golden Bee Grandmothers” led by Vanya Mihaleva participated in the international folklore festival “With the songs of Kichka Savova” and returned with prizes. The children’s folklore group participated with one general performance and four individual performances. Ana Dobrikova appeared individually on stage for the first time. Rositsa Dobreva won a silver medal with the songs “Rade, Rade, white Rade” and “Dragano”. Joanna Stefanova and Nadezhda Angelova won a prize and a master class led by Darina Slavova. The group’s overall performance was awarded a gold medal. In addition to Kichka Savova’s song – “Karshi Todoro”, the jury was also impressed by the song for Thracians “Bre, did you hear, did you understand”.
The “Golden Beekeepers” from the village of Pchelarovo also performed brilliantly and were awarded a silver medal. They presented the songs “Oi, Rade, Rade”, “Sun is shining” and “Scarlet Peony”.
