The opening of a photography exhibition from the tenth international photo salon Plovdiv 2023 in Rousse took place today – Rousse.Info

On April 20, 2024, at Svoboda Square, the exhibition Five Star Photography in Ruse was opened, which presents awarded works from the X Jubilee International Photo Salon Plovdiv 2023. The event is organized by the newly formed in our city “City Photographic Society – Ruse” with the financial support of the Municipal Foundation “Ruse – City of the Free Spirit”.

The organizer of the prestigious Photo Salon Plovdiv – Anton Savov welcomed the attendees and the Ruse native Yavor Michev, who was awarded the prize for the best author of the salon with the most admitted works – 17 in total. “Photography is a young art that is undergoing rapid development. It is universal and easily reaches people. Ruse is the first city in Bulgaria, in which the exhibition from Photo Salon Plovdiv is visiting outdoors. The works are masterful and show the essence of almost all photographic genres. Next year we will visit Ruse again with a selection of the best photographs from the salon,” promised the organizer Anton Savov.

The Russian Mirela Partinova, awarded with a bronze medal at Photo Salon Plovdiv 2023, was also present at the opening of the exhibition, where her award-winning shots can also be seen. Anton Savov also surprised a third Ruse photographer – Ivo Botev, who received a Diploma for his participation in the competition “Music in the Lens”, organized by the National Association “Photographic Academy Yanka Kyurkchieva”. Yavor Michev was also awarded an Honorary Diploma from the same competition – again for the best author of the salon.

Mladen Milanov – also a bright representative of the photography guild in Ruse, received from the International Photo Salon Plovdiv richly illustrated photo albums with the wish for inspiration and new creative successes. Yavor Michev and Mladen Milanov are the two authors from Ruse with serious international titles for art photography. Milanov is a winner of AFIAP (Artists of the International Federation of Photographic Art), and Yavor Michev is an Excellent Artist of the International Federation of Photographic Art – EFIAP.

The exhibition “Five Star Photography in Ruse” is the first event organized by the newly formed City Photographic Society – Ruse, whose goal is to unite artists who love the magic of photography to work together to establish Ruse on the photographic map of Bulgaria and Europe.
