Students from First Secondary School “St. “Seventh graders” in Targovishte won a programming competition in Razgrad

--

The team of First Secondary School “Sveti Sedmochiselnitsi” won first place in the team programming competition Ludogorie Hack 2024, which took place between April 19-21 in Razgrad. The competition has no age limit – schoolchildren, students and adults participate in it. The prize fund is BGN 2,250, the management of the educational institution announced.
After two completely sleepless nights, Belis Aliosmanova and Stefan Dimitrov from class XI a beat the competition and deservedly win the first place. They were given their assignment on Friday night and had until Sunday lunchtime to present their decision to a panel of technology professionals, including software company owners.
Bellis and Stefan create a software prototype of a platform for business contacts (networking), and their project has the possibility of integration with Linkedin. The principle of operation is similar to that of social networks. For example, in a randomly selected city there is a large event that gathers tens or hundreds of people who go to meet other entrepreneurs and make useful business contacts. At such an event, one participant cannot meet and talk to everyone.
“The solution to this problem is that each of the visitors registers on the platform we have created, creates a profile in which they describe themselves – where they studied, what they do, what professional experience they have and what they can be useful for,” Bellis explained. . The app has a special “Event Attendance” mode where every user can mark themselves. Then it filters people with the same interests and finally they make live contact,” she added.
Last year, Bellis and Stefan participated in Ludogorie Hack 2023 and placed second. Now their goal was to win. “We worked hard throughout the year, built on our programming knowledge, and logically won first place,” Bellis shared.
