Children will have the opportunity to become familiar with egg-writing techniques
From April 23 to 26, 2024, the annual “Easter workshop” – an egg-writing demonstration, during which specialists from the ethnographic department will show you traditional techniques and ways to decorate Easter eggs, common in our region – Rakitovo, Velingrad, Belovo.
Writing Easter eggs with a pen and wax is a centuries-old tradition preserved in Chepinsko. For more than ten years, Pazardzhik ethnologists have been presenting this characteristic technique for decorating Easter eggs through various directions for educational purposes.
Each visitor is required to bring a boiled egg, beeswax, household candle (for two) and, under the expert guidance of the ethnographers, he will write and take home the creation of his own hands.
The workshop will be open every weekday from 10.00 to 15.00.
