The state plan for the admission of students in the 8th grade according to profiles and professions in the Pleven region for the 2024-2025 school year has been approved, the Regional Department of Education reports. Admission will take place in 47 non-specialized schools in the district – secondary and unified schools, profiled and vocational high schools.

The admission plan is tailored to the need to train personnel in occupational specialties based on applications received from employers; the permanently sought-after specialists on the labor market from the “Labor Offices” Directorates; opinions from the municipalities in the area, based on strategies, forecasts and development plans for admission by profiles and specialties of professions; the number of students studying in grade VII in this school year; the analysis of the realization of the admission in the last three years by each school; increasing the share of training classes in vocational training and classes in STEM profiles and in STEM specialties from professions and achieving the estimated target values ​​for admission to grade VIII, set by the Ministry of Education and Culture for the academic year 2024/2025.

A total of 88 classes have been approved for admission to grade VIII, with 2,020 seventh graders in the district. From them:

– For profiled training there are 35 classes with a total of 910 places, for full-time training.

According to profiles, their number is:

Mathematical – 3 classes

Entrepreneurial – 7 classes

Natural sciences – 8 classes

Software and hardware sciences – 7 classes

Foreign languages ​​– 5 classes

Social sciences – 1 class

Humanities – 1 class

Economic development – 2 classes

Music – 1 class.

Of the established 35 classes for profiled preparation, 25 of them are in STEM profiles (Mathematics, Entrepreneurship, Natural Sciences and Software and Hardware Sciences), with 650 places in them.

For professional training, there are 53 classes with a total of 1378 places.

49 classes with 1274 places have been approved for full-time education;

In a dual education system (learning through work) – 4 classes with 104 places.

Schools in which the state admissions plan will be implemented for professions in a dual education system are:

PGMET – Pleven in specialties: Machines and systems with CNC – 0.5 class and Electrical equipment of production – 0.5 class;

PGOT “Hristo Boyadzhiev” – Pleven, major: Textile clothing production – 0.5 class;

PGPSTT “G. S. Rakovski” – Pleven by specialty: Forwarding, transport and warehouse logistics – 1 class;

PGHVT “Louis Pasteur” – Pleven by specialty: Provision of product information – 1 class;

PGHT “Yuriy Gagarin” – Cherven Bryag, specialty: Production and service in catering and entertainment establishments – 0.5 class.

Of the 53 approved professional classes, 33 are in STEM professions, with 858 places, of which 52 places are in classes with a dual education system.

From 6 secondary schools in the district, students will be admitted to the VIII grade for training in vocational training: SU “Hristo Smirnenski” – Gulyantsi, SU “Asen Zlatarov” – Gigen, SU “Vasil Aprilov” – Dolna Mitropolia, SU “Evlogi Georgiev – Trastenik, “Hristo Smirnenski” University – Iskar and “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” – Pordim.

Admission to new specialties from professions will take place in:

PGSS “Prof. Ivan Ivanov” – town of Dolni Dabnik for training in specialty: Veterinary technician, profession: Veterinary technician, 0.5 class in full-time training with 13 places. The specialty is new for the school, the municipality and the district.

PGMET “Hristo Smirnenski” – town of Knezha for training in the specialty: Renewable energy sources, profession: Installer of energy equipment and installations, 1 class with 26 places. The major is new to the school.

Classes for:

I SPK with term of study – 3 years – 3.5 classes;

II SPK with a training period of 5 years – 9.5 classes requested;

III SPK with a training period of 5 years – 40 classes requested.

In implementation of the Rules for planning, approving and implementing the state admissions plan in the VIII grade and achieving the goals of maintaining a sustainable share of accepted students in STEM profiles and professions and a sustainable share of accepted students in vocational high schools and in classes with vocational training, with the state admission plan for the academic year 2024/2025, the set target values ​​have been achieved:

for classes with professional training – 60.23%;

and for places in STEM profiles and STEM professions – 65.91%.

State plan-admission in grade V will take place in one class with a “Mathematical” profile, with 26 places, in “Geo Milev” Mathematical High School.
