Vratsa Mayor Kalin Kamenov and GERB MP Martin Harizanov helped an Iranian woman represent Bulgaria at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer.

Kimia Alizadeh will present her native taekwondo at the biggest forum on the planet, as she received documents as a naturalized woman from Vrachan – MP Harizanov announced the news on his profile on social networks.

At the most prestigious sports forum on the planet, the world star in taekwondo and one of the 100 most influential people according to the BBC – Kimia Alizadeh will present us.

“I love Bulgarian sports and I am proud that I was able to contribute to Kimia showing her mastery and competing for Bulgaria. She is a unique person and I am sure that she will serve as an example not only to taekwondo players, but also to all young people who follow the path of sports and self-development, and avoid the misunderstood models in society,” noted the people’s elected official.

The athlete will be the first representative of Bulgaria in this sport at the Olympic Games.
