The Choir of Varna girls and women at the Choir School “Prof. Marin Chonev” to the Municipality of Varna to bear the name of maestro Zaharina Milkova. This was voted by the culture committee of the local parliament on the initiative of current and former choristers, as well as other creative personalities from Varna.
The choir, one of the three ensembles within the Choir “Prof. Marin Chonev”, was established in 1976, and from 1981 to 2022 it was invariably led by Zaharina Milkova – Nikitasova.
Maestra Milkova will remain in the history of Varna as a person who devoted her entire professional life to the promotion of the Varna choral art in the world and in our country, which is why her name deserves to be remembered with respect. “We believe that in this way we will keep Zaharina Milkova’s work alive and this will give a new creative boost to our self-made composition,” argue the proponents of the proposal.
