MECH party held an organizational meeting in Pleven

On Sunday, April 21 at 19:00 at the “City” hotel in Pleven, the MECH party held an organizational meeting with representatives of its structures in the Pleven region. The leader of the party Radostin Vassilev, Deyan Petkov – general secretary of the party, Prof. Nikolay Radulov, Krasimir Manev – energy expert, Kiril Veselinski – PR, lawyer were present. Vassilev explained to those present what the organizational state of the party is and how it will appear in the upcoming two-in-one elections. In his words, “the party is growing faster than its capabilities at the moment.” Structures or members of “Vazrazhdane”, ITN and other parties flow into it, because of the disappointment with them, Vassilev explained. He added that MECH has structures in almost all of Bulgaria and intensive preparations are underway for the upcoming elections.

The registration of the party in the CEC is pending, which will take place on April 23 or 24. The necessary signatures have been collected, as well as the documents required for registration. The registration in RIC-Pleven will be done by April 29.

The leader of the Pleven list for the 15th MIR Pleven will be Deyan Petkov. The MECH list for the EP will be led by Radostin Vasilev, but he announced that he will not become an MEP, as he has to lead the party in Bulgaria.

In these elections, the MECH party will appear independently, Vassilev informed. “We do not form a coalition because MECH is strong enough to stand in the elections independently. Inside the Parliament, we have no natural allies and coalition partners. It is time for Bulgaria to make an opposition party on a model that was unsuccessfully attacked by ITN and PP. Not only was it not really attacked, but these parties led to political nihilism all over Bulgaria.

Now this resentment of the people, despair and apathy due to the impossibility of changing the model, is growing into a force for the MECH party”, said Vassilev. And he added that there is a ban on his participation in national media, as well as in sociological agencies. But through social media and some independent broadcasts, the party has managed to reach the people. And it currently has over 5,000 members, Vassilev informed. He is convinced that in the upcoming elections MECH will win 7-8% as a result.

“The truth is that Bulgaria needs a centrist, moderate-conservative, pro-Bulgarian party. If we have an MEP, his first job is to push the issue of nation states. This neoliberal bastard who imposed Europe is done with. Orban left the EPP 2 weeks ago. A new European party is being formed around him and we will be members of it – the party of the national states”, announced the leader of MECH.

As for MECH’s work in the future Parliament, Radostin Vassilev said that “our first work is a draft decision to remove the “secret” label from the contract for the gold deposits of Bulgaria. In order for the Bulgarian society to see who signed what. And when the Bulgarian society says that this is not profitable, we send a negotiation group for renegotiation. When he says he can’t renegotiate – we terminate. There is international law, there are unprofitable deals and it may turn out that our concessionaires have to pay us back”.

For Lukoil, Radostin Vassilev said that it should become Bulgarian. It also informs about the other economic cases facing Bulgaria, for which MECH has the expertise to find a solution while preserving the Bulgarian national interest.

MECH will continue with the organizational meetings in places in connection with the upcoming election campaign.
