The checks were carried out by teams of the “Road Police” sector, the First and Sixth regional offices and their colleagues from Asenovgrad, Stamboliyski and Trud. A dead drunk driver was caught by traffic policemen on “Princess Maria Louisa” Blvd. in the regional city.
When tested with a drager, a result above 3 ppm was reported.
The man refused to be tested for the use of narcotic substances and also to give blood for chemical analysis. With a police warrant, he was detained for one day within the framework of the fast-track proceedings.
Similar police actions followed against five other men sitting behind the wheel under the influence of alcoholic beverages above the legal limit.
They are located on “Vasil Aprilov” Blvd., “Saint Petersburg” Blvd., “Skopje” St. and in the “Stolipinovo” district, as well as in the village of Boyantsi. Meanwhile, in Manolsko Konare, uniformed officers detected an unlicensed driver of an electric scooter, whose alcohol test was also positive – over 2.5 per thousand.
A driver of a car was also checked by the law enforcement officers in Peruštitsa with his driving license revoked after an administrative penalty was imposed.
