There are 115 vacancies in the municipalities of Veliko Tarnovo, Zlataritsa and Elena, which are covered by the Labor Office – V. Tarnovo.
The largest share has those in processing industry (27.8%), hotel and restaurant industry (20.8%), trade (14.7%), public administration (8.6%), health care (5.2%) , construction (4.3%), education (4.3%), etc.
Demand for labor continues, with businesses particularly in need of care staff, manufacturing workers, security guards, vehicle and mobile equipment drivers, cleaners, skilled food, clothing, woodwork workers and related etc.
There were 1,584 registered unemployed in March at the Bureau of Labor – Veliko Tarnovo, and 248 new unemployed persons sought the mediation and services of the Bureau of Labor during the month. As a result of the active work of the Roma and youth mediators, as well as the labor mediators in the Labor Bureau, in March 38 persons without registration registered to look for work.
The level of registered unemployment for the region of the Bureau of Labor Directorate – Veliko Tarnovo in March was 4% with 5.77% for the country and 5.97% for the district.
By municipalities, it is as follows – Veliko Tarnovo municipality 3%, Elena municipality 12.8% and Zlataritsa municipality 13.8%.
In the month of March 2024, 173 unemployed persons started work, there was an increase in their number compared to the previous month and compared to the same month of the previous year. The distribution of unemployed persons who started work by sectors of the economy is as follows: manufacturing industry – 19%, hotels and restaurants – 16%, agriculture, forestry – 5%, trade – 7%, education – 7%, transport – 4% , and others.
