The debates on a legal topic organized by the Varna District Court between four teams from the V EG with teaching of foreign languages, “Ioan Exarch”, were held with great interest welcomed the guests to the event and officially launched the competition, stressing that the Varna District Court is always happy to open its doors and annually welcomes hundreds of young people, because the whole team of the court shares the understanding that good education is unthinkable without a live and direct connection with practice during the current school year, they helped you to better understand our work and make your own, true assessment of it,” said judge Magdalena Davidova. She also addressed the participants in the debates, advising them not to stop there: “Keep learning, be interested and develop that knowledge. Whether you choose to continue your education in the field of law or some other field, in any case, a good legal culture will always be your advantage, it will open up opportunities for you to better protect your interests, to make correct and objective decisions as citizens”.

The debates themselves between the four teams from the 10th and 12th grade V EG, took place in two rounds, as according to the regulation and drawn lots on the spot before the five-member jury, in the first stage, the teams presented their arguments “for” and “against” on the topics “Should the use of marijuana be legalized?” and “For or against early marriage , i.e. before the age of 18?”. The winners of the first round debated in the final competition on the topic “For or against the “home office” as a workplace “, the contested first place was taken by a team of 12th graders with contestants Yasmina Bizri, Hristina Trifonova and Zhuliyan Ivanov, and the second place team of 10th graders from the Fifth Language High School received certificates and subject awards for their good performance.

For the finale, the jury and participants took a photo together, and the Deputy President of the Regional Court – Varna, Ralitsa Raykova, presented certificates to all participants and their teacher, Petranka Kostadinova, who, in addition to the organized debates on legal topics, During the school year, they actively visited the court and participated in the educational program “Judicial Power – Informed Choice and Civil Trust. Open Courts and Prosecutor’s Offices”.
