STUDENTS FROM PGE “KONSTANTIN FOTINOV” PRESENTED AN ENGINEERING PROJECT FOR A PHOTOVOLTAIC POWER PLANT

Organizers and main partners of the event are ENERY and SUNOTEC companies, and speakers were leading scientists and founders of communities in the energy industry. The students presented two engineering mock-ups to illustrate the qualification of photovoltaic panels and build, adjust, and optimize a photovoltaic power plant. The attending students from the Technical University in Sofia also showed interest in their work, from whom the students also received information about continuing education in their professional field. The complexity of their development was praised and encouraged by the representatives of the participating companies at the forum. An important element of the exhibition was the emphasis on the dual system of training in the field of installation and operation of renewable and alternative energy sources. In the interview for BNR, the students answered questions related to ecology and recycling of raw materials, the benefit of the separate collection of waste materials, the contribution of living ecosystems such as bees and the relevance of energy production from traditional and alternative sources. Their well-argued civil position in most subjects also made a pleasant impression. The leaders of the student project are Eng. Katia Karausheva and Eng. Elena Dimitrova, who since 2007 have been actively working for the imposition of the RES specialty in vocational education in Burgas.
