The activities are many, but the ones we are proud of are mainly related to non-formal education and the inclusion of young people in various training sessions, on topics related to improving their skills, as well as expanding the territorial scope of these activities, going beyond the territory of the city, said Nikolay Nikolov – youth worker.
100 informal trainings were held, involving 2090 young people, and the focus of the topics were planning skills, communication skills, human rights and others. International youth exchanges with Youth Centers from Slovenia, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Romania, Serbia, North Macedonia, as well as in the donor country Iceland – municipality of Kopovogur, are also reported. 8 workshops, 58 youth initiatives, safe internet trainings, folklore meetings, an evening of tolerance, a traveling festival of board games and others were implemented.
As part of the project, a Handbook with educational activities was published, as well as a Comic Jam. The young people also had the opportunity to meet with employers from the city, to participate in events related to tolerance for diversity, musical and folklore meetings.
One of the main goals of the project is related to expanding the territorial scope of the Youth Center and increasing the quality and variety of activities, as well as the number of young people and participants from other age groups in the Center’s activities. Building 3 has a partially renovated dance hall, changing rooms, storage room, lobby, sanitary facilities, office and vestibules. Sanding and crystallization of the flooring was carried out, with the aim of preserving its authenticity.
