PTG “Ivan Raynov”-Yambol creates a Multifunctional laboratory for programming and 3D modeling

--

14 specialized offices, equipped with the most modern and modern technologies, will be available to the students in the Center for Excellence, which is being built in PTG “Ivan Raynov”. As a school environment for professional education and training, the Center has no analogue in the Yambol region. Each classroom will have a system with two sliding whiteboards and a 75-inch interactive display, with a license for the most current software products for the relevant specialty. Each room will also have a custom-designed wall graphic on a theme related to its focus. In a series of publications, the school reveals what other achievements of science and technology its graduates will use when studying their chosen specialty. The first two offices are “Programming and digital skills” and “Multifunctional laboratory for programming and 3D modeling”.

The “Programming and Digital Skills” office will be furnished with ergonomic furniture – modular single tables and gaming chairs and equipped with modern notebook computers. Gaming chairs have completely different ergonomics than classic office chairs, they are designed for prolonged sitting. They have many additional features and several positioning options so that body stability can be adjusted as well. This, together with the single tables and portable computers, aims to develop and, above all, apply the acquired knowledge in the field of programming and digital skills in a comfortable working environment.

The office “Multifunctional programming and 3D modeling laboratory” will have 3D printers, 3D scanners, DOBOT – robotic training kits and a system for training programmable logic controllers with the corresponding licenses for specialized software. As the name suggests, a 3D printer is an invention that allows users to print objects such as three-dimensional images. 3D scanning, on the other hand, is a process used to capture the exact size and shape of a physical object from where it gathers the necessary information about it, by redirecting it into the computer or virtual world in the form of a digital three-dimensional file.

The DOBOT is the world’s best training program for high school students and contains robotic components that can be programmed to perform independent actions, but also be an assembly line for making a product. A programmable logic controller (also known as a PLC) is an industrial real-time computer control system that continuously monitors the data received from the input devices and, based on the internal logic programmed into it, sends operating instructions to the output devices. Thanks to this type of control system, any production line, machine function or process can be significantly improved.

All these benefits will directly support the educational process of the students of the 4 specialties offered by PTG “Ivan Raynov”: “System programming”, “Robot programming”, “Artificial intelligence programming”, “Computer technology and technologies” and “Mechatronics”. . The renewed base of the school and the delivery of high-tech equipment and furniture are thanks to a protected project worth more than BGN 2.8 million. Expect information about the other offices that will be available in the new academic year at PTG “Ivan Raynov” – Yambol.
