The “Atanas Sharenkov” art gallery in Haskovo opens this evening at 5:30 p.m. a painting exhibition, which includes some of the restored paintings not shown to the general public from its diverse collection. Among them are canvases of the patron of the gallery.

The exhibition is titled “Looking at the present” because the city gallery now has new equipment to store its exhibits. Modern picture hanging and movable shelving are part of the benefits.

They are provided under the “Cultural Entrepreneurship, Heritage and Cooperation” Program, “Cultural Diversity in Haskovo” project, financed through the Norwegian Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area.

“We are very pleased with the new acquisitions, as they are another step that we are taking together with the Municipality of Haskovo to protect the practically priceless works at our disposal, as well as to better present them to the public,” comments the gallery director Tatyana Foreva.

At the opening of the exhibition, guests will have the opportunity to receive a catalog of paintings and their descriptions from the gallery’s collection, as well as to choose a puzzle of some of the works.

The exhibition will remain available to viewers until April 28.
