The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a yellow code for significant rainfall in 7 areas for April 23. Heavy rains are expected tomorrow in Sofia, Sofia region, Vidin, Montana, Pernik, Kyustendil and Blagoevgrad.
In these areas, the amount of precipitation per day is expected to be between 20 and 35 liters per square meter.
Rainfall tomorrow night they will decrease and stop. There is also a decrease in cloud cover.
Clouds will increase and thicken tonight and showers will start from the southwest. The wind will be oriented from the east-southeast and will be weak, in Eastern Bulgaria – to moderate.
The minimum temperatures will mostly be between 6° and 11°, in Sofia – around 7°. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with rain showers. In places in Western Bulgaria, the quantities will be significant.
In the evening, the rain will weaken and stop, and the clouds will begin to break and decrease. A moderate wind will blow from the east-southeast, mainly in Ludogorie, it will be temporarily strong. The maximum temperatures will be between 12° and 17°, in Sofia – around 12°.
Over the mountains it will be cloudy with rain showers, at an altitude above 2000 meters it will mix with snow. A moderate to strong southerly wind will blow, bringing in slightly warmer air. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 9°, at 2000 meters – around 3°.
Above the Black Sea it will be mostly cloudy with rain showers. A moderate wind will blow from the east-southeast. Maximum temperatures will be between 12° and 15°. The temperature of the sea water is 12°-13°. The excitement of the sea will be 2-3 bales.
On Wednesday (April 24) the wind will temporarily shift from the west quarter. Precipitation will occur in fewer places, mainly in the northwestern half of the country. There will be more breaks and reductions in cloud cover, daytime temperatures will rise and highs will be between 19° and 24°. Minimum – between 5° and 10°.
In Thursday (April 25) with the passage of a cold front, daytime temperatures will drop again by about 5 degrees, morning temperatures will be between 7° and 12°, in the valleys of Southwestern Bulgaria – about 4°. The cloudiness will be mostly significant, in many places – with precipitation.
In Friday (April 26) sunny weather will prevail with cumulus clouds after noon, short-term rain will fall in some places in the mountainous regions. Minimum temperatures will be lower, daytime temperatures – by 1-2 degrees higher.
On Saturday (April 27) afternoon showers with thunderstorm activity are still possible in some areas in Western Bulgaria, but there will be more sunny hours, daytime temperatures will rise and prevailing maximums will be mostly between 18° and 23°. The wind will be from the east, on Sunday and Monday it will be moderate. On Sunday (April 28), the probability of precipitation is small, on Monday – it increases again. I will warm up.
