The “Brand Bulgaria – protection of Bulgarian agriculture and food” forum is the first of two discussions within the national campaign “Yes! On Bulgarian food”, which is being held for the 18th year in a row, the main purpose of which is to support local agricultural producers, processors and food traders, as well as to be a mediator in the dialogue between institutions and agribusiness in terms of finding the right and working solutions for the sector.
Among the highlights of the forum are:
- The new measures and changes in the legislation aimed at supporting the development and competitiveness of the agricultural sector; Funding opportunities; The strategy for development and access to Bulgarian production – farmers’ markets; The Recovery and Resilience Plan;
- The future of the European Green Deal – will it undergo transformations and what will they be; The effect on Bulgaria;
- Sustainable Agriculture in Climate Uncertainty – Challenges and Risks to Productivity. Alternative approaches and process modernization;
- The lack of personnel – how will the agricultural sector attract young people and will it provoke more investments in modern technologies;
- EC measures to achieve sustainability and resilience of food systems; Their impact on Bulgaria;
- Good practices and examples in the agricultural and food industry;
- The market for Easter – which products will be in the consumer’s basket; the unfair practices that consumers should be aware of.
