The full integration of Kosovo into the international community will contribute to the stability and security of the region and the whole of Europe. This was pointed out by President Rumen Radev meeting with Prime Minister of Kosovo Albin Kurti, announced the press center of the Presidency.
According to the President, in the context of the acceleration of the EU enlargement processKosovo should not be left behind and the progress reported by the country should be motivated.
Prime Minister Kurti thanked for Bulgaria’s consistent position on the country’s European perspective, including support for membership in the Council of Europe.
The Bulgarian president welcomed the commitment of the Kosovo authorities to grant status to the Bulgarian community in Kosovo. It is extremely important to legislate mechanisms that allow citizens in Kosovo with Bulgarian self-awareness to preserve and express their identity, as well as to freely exercise their civil rights, Radev said.
During the conversation, Radev and Kurti discussed strengthening the political dialogue between Bulgaria and Kosovo. The two discussed opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation with a focus on promoting ties between businesses from the two countries.

Acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev also met with the Kosovo Prime Minister.
At the meeting, they discussed the possibility of upgrading cooperation between Bulgaria and Kosovo, as well as the partnership for strengthening security, stability and prosperity in the region. This was announced by the press center of the Council of Ministers.
The two prime ministers are unanimous that steps are needed in deepening cooperation in all spheres of mutual interest, highlighting the potential for upgrading relations in the field of trade and economic relations, information and communication technologies.
Dimitar Glavchev assured Albin Kurti, that Bulgaria continues to support the European integration and Euro-Atlantic perspective of Kosovo.
