The Mayor of Razgrad Municipality, Dobrin Dobrev, was among the guests of the restored “Baby of the Year” contest, organized by ZHANETA Association. The event was held under the motto “Baby stories 2023”.
Mr. Dobrev congratulated the organizers for creating the perfect organization, allowing the little participants to feel good, and also providing variety for their khakis, fathers, mothers and fathers. Mayor Dobrin Dobrev called for special applause for the fathers who, by participating in the games, part of the competition, showed that they are well prepared and help at home. The mayor wished next year’s participants in this wonderful competition so much that it would have to be held in one of the sports halls in the city. He wished the little residents of Razgrad to grow up happy and carefree. Mr. Dobrev drew lots from a transparent box in which, upon entering the Municipal Cultural Center, mothers dropped folded white pieces of paper on which they wrote their child’s name. The fortune of being named “Baby of 2023” there was Lucia Valcheva, who will turn 1 on May 1. Her reward was a large teddy bear. There were gifts in personalized bags with their names for all 13 children who participated in the contest.
The remaining prize winners were determined by a three-member jury: journalist Desislava Stefanova, Imren Genj from the “For our Future” Foundation and photographer Silvia Marinova. Matei Stoychev was announced as “Baby Smile”, “Baby Singer” – Mirai Husein, “Baby Fugitive” became Christiana Todorova, “Baby Miss” – Stefani Titsova, “Baby Mister” – Miroslav Stoyanov, “Baby Actor” – Elena Asenova, “Baby Dancer” – Preslav Manoilov, “Baby Chef” – Yvon Dimitrova, “Baby Discoverer” – Valentino Kolev, “Baby Diplomat” – Tiyana Mitkova, “Baby Photogenic” – Lucia Valcheva, “Baby ZANETA” – Teodor Stefanov, “Baby to the audience” – Pavel Petrov.
In the contest, there were also prizes for the fathers who won the competitive games. Vedat turned out to be the best at swaddling babies, Boyko was the fastest at recognizing the child’s shoes and putting them on. Grandparents also participated, with one of the grandmothers helping to determine the “Runaway Baby” who was the fastest to crawl or walk a pre-announced section, guided by the calls of a relative.
The contest was held under the auspices of Mayor Dobrin Dobrev, the organizers thanked the local government and the mayor personally for their support. The event began with a musical greeting by Ilkay Chaush from the Pop Singing Class at the CPLR CDR led by Svilena Decheva.
