The television tower in the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv was destroyed today by a Russian strike, local authorities reported, quoted by “France Presse”.

There were no casualties in the attack. Due to the destroyed facility, the television signal was interrupted. The 240-meter-high structure has collapsed in half, according to a story by a journalist from “France Press”. The tower was already damaged in an attack in March 2022, at the beginning of the Russian invasion, the agency recalled.

In recent weeks, Kharkiv has increasingly come under attack by Russian forces. The city’s energy infrastructure was a frequent target late last month, leading to prolonged power outages in late March.

In early April, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky visited the newly dug defense lines in the region. The front is only about forty kilometers from Kharkiv.
