Scandalous: Arda does not allow Krumovgrad to play its home matches in Kardzhali

The leadership of Krumovgrad came out with an official position, from which it is understood that the people of Krumovgrad were refused by a person from Arda Kardzhali to play their home matches at “Arena Arda”, instead of at the base of Botev (Plovdiv).

The man from Arda is called Ramadan Yashar, and the leadership of Krumovgrad defines him as “a person of unclear status”.

Krumovgrad believes that next year they will have a stadium that meets all the requirements of FIFA and UEFA.

Here is what the club wrote:

“Dear citizens of Krumovgrad,

in our country and around the world,

It is with excitement and pride that we want to share with you our joy at the successes of our team. Three years ago, we did not even dare to think that our small town would ever have a team in the elite league of Bulgaria. And today, FC Krumovgrad is in sixth place in the Efbet League and is next to the giants of Bulgaria.

We would also like to share our satisfaction with the full support given to us by the leadership of the Krumovgrad Municipality. The idea for a new stadium in Krumovgrad is already materializing in specific plans and deadlines. We believe that next year, 2025, we will have a stadium meeting the highest requirements of FIFA and UEFA, and we will support, empathize and enjoy our favorite team.

In this regard, once again we made an attempt for FC Krumovgrad to play its home matches in the town of Kardzhali. After all, we are in the same area and only 40 km from each other. Many people from Krumovgrad live in Kardzhali, and many people from Kardzhali came to support us at our matches in the second and third leagues in Krumovgrad.

For the second year in a row, we receive the categorical refusal of a person with an unclear status in “Arda” Kardjali – Ramadan Yashar. And while last year we swallowed and went to Plovdiv without informing the public in our native region, this year we will share the “arguments” of Ramadan Yashar. And they are that if FC Krumovgrad plays two matches a month at Arena Arda, the pitch will be irretrievably damaged. We were unceremoniously told to find another place.

Ramadan Yashar can believe the “arguments”, but we want to remind him that it was we, the people of Krumovgrad, involved with the FC Krumovgrad team, who supported the “Arda” Kardzhali team in the third and second leagues. We covered 95% of the budget of “Arda” Kardzhali, guided by the understanding that our beautiful homeland deserves a team in professional football. Thanks to our over seven-figure investment in “Arda”, the city of Kardzhali has a team in the Efbet League. There are documents for this in “Arda” and with us.

We thought about keeping quiet this year as well, but the attitude and ingratitude is insulting.

We want to assure our fellow citizens that we will move steadily towards the set goal. Namely, to hear the name of the city through the team and whoever is connected or once his ancestors were connected to Krumovgrad, if possible, to do something for the future of the city.

We had no idea to impress with football successes, but they did!
