At a meeting on Monday, the Regional Council of the DPS in Blagoevgrad made a unanimous decision for leader of the lists of the Blagoevgrad DPS for the upcoming Narodno elections meeting to elect Delyan Peevski.

They were too nominations for the European Parliament elections were also made.

They are Delyan Peevski, Jevdet Chakarov, Ilhan Kyuchyuk, Iskra Mihailova, Elena Yoncheva, Stanislav Anastasov, Tanzer Yuseinov and Taner Kabilov.

This is stated in a message of the DPS published on Facebook.

Yoncheva’s nomination is being seriously discussed in DPS circles as a candidate from the civil quota. This was reported by bTV, citing its sources.

Yoncheva is a member of the European Parliament, elected from the civil quota of the BSP.

On April 18, in an interview with Tsvetanka Rizova in “Face to Face” Yoncheva was asked if she would be a candidate for MEP of the upcoming European elections and from which formation.

“We have submitted a very detailed report to the secretariat of our work as well as to the members of the BSP National Council. I have submitted my report to the BSP and I am sure that colleagues will be very impressed. As the leader of the BSP list in the 2019 elections “We got five MEPs last year. Now it depends on how many seats they want from the BSP to win in the European Parliament,” she answered then.
